By registering as a customer of Divine Waves Shipping & Logistics Ltd, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. All customers are encouraged to read them carefully. Each registered customer will be provided with our U.S. mailing address and must adhere to the correct format unless otherwise advised by a Divine Waves representative. This agreement forms the basis on which Divine Waves provides courier services to our customers once items are delivered to our U.S. warehouse.
Divine Waves will provide adequate notice regarding U.S. holidays or operational closures at our Miami facility. Packages scheduled for delivery on those days are normally delivered the next business day. If not, we advise customers to contact the shipping carrier (UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) to reschedule delivery during regular business hours.
We will not be held liable for packages labelled incorrectly. If our address identifier DVNW is missing from the address line, Divine Waves cannot guarantee the ability to locate the package. Always copy and paste the address exactly as shown on your customer dashboard to ensure accurate delivery to your account.
If a merchant leaves off the customer ID (examples include Walmart, Shein, Fashion Nova, etc.), the package may get misplaced or delayed. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their correct Divine Waves address, including ID number, is always used.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your package has the correct Divine Waves shipping address from your dashboard. Packages with incorrect labels may not be recorded in our system or the warehouse system. While we will do our best to locate missing packages, this is not guaranteed.
If your tracking shows 'delivered' but you did not receive an alert, contact us immediately. The warehouse team has up to 24 hours to update incoming packages. Once this window passes, we will investigate. If we confirm your package has not been received, please contact the seller or delivery service for further action.
Divine Waves will not be held responsible for items that never reached our U.S. warehouse. Proof of delivery with the name/signature of warehouse personnel is required for claims.
We accept cash or card on delivery. Outstanding balances must be cleared within 10 days of package release. Unclaimed packages will attract a storage fee after 10 business days of arrival in Jamaica. Storage fees are charged at JMD$100 per day.
Customers must inspect and sign for packages upon delivery. Failure to sign means the customer waives the right to claim compensation for damages.
Customers may ship packages to our U.S. warehouse at their own risk, provided that shipments comply with Jamaican import regulations. Divine Waves is not responsible for transactions between customers and merchants.
Customers must prepay fees for assistance with shipments being held at Customs. Expensive items (such as laptops, phones, etc.) are shipped at the customer’s own risk. Divine Waves’ liability for lost or damaged items is limited to 25% of the item’s value, provided the warehouse acknowledged receipt of the item.
Customers must notify Divine Waves in advance of packages valued over USD $2,500 or requiring import permits/licenses. Divine Waves may inspect packages to determine if they can be shipped safely by air or sea. We reserve the right to refuse any package.
Fragile or sensitive items must be packaged securely by merchants or senders, with clear instructions on handling. Proof must show that damage occurred while in Divine Waves’ possession for compensation to be considered. Currently, Divine Waves does not offer a return service, but we can advise customers on affordable return options.
For shipments requiring special documentation (e.g., using a passenger declaration form), customers must provide all necessary documents (TRN, ID, passport, etc.) signed by a Justice of the Peace before the shipment arrives in Jamaica.
By using Divine Waves Shipping & Logistics Ltd, you agree to Jamaican customs charges and protocols. Divine Waves will act as your agent for customs clearance unless otherwise instructed. Customers must provide necessary documentation promptly for Customs.
If duties, taxes, penalties, or charges are imposed due to missing documentation or permits, the costs will be charged to the customer.
Common Jamaican Customs Fees:
- Import Duty: Duty on imported goods (rates vary by item).
- GCT (General Consumption Tax): 15% on most goods.
- Standard Compliance Fee (SCF): 0.3% on the CIF value of shipped items.
- Customs Administrative Fee (CAF): Charged for documentation processing and inspections.
- Environmental Levy: 0.5% charged on all imports.
